Lillestrøm SK have reached an agreement to sign Kano Pillars midfield ace Ifeanyi Matthew, report can exclusively confirm. A meeting was held between the player’s intermediary and a Norway based agent who initiated the deal and an agreement was reached on transfer fee and wages for the 19 year old to move to Lillestrøm SK.

Matthew is rated by many as one of the best midfielders in the Nigeria Professional Football League and was by far alongside Chisom Chikatara the bright side of a dull campaign for Nigeria at the last CHAN Championship in Rwanda.

He was a part of the Nigeria U-20 team that won the Africa Youth Championship in Senegal and many believed the injury he picked up at the U-20 World Championship in New Zealand in Nigeria’s first game against Brazil that ruled him out of the rest of their games is partly the reason why Nigeria crashed out in the round of 16.

Rumored to be a target for Gent of Belgium he will join the Nigerian duo of Bonke Innocent and Friday Fred at the team that is presently placed 9th on the log in the Norway’s Eliteserien League.
