LIGUE 1 - OL challenge Torino in the race for Spartak's defender

Ignazio Genuardi reports that Ligue 1 side Lyon have made an approach for 27-year-old French central defender Samuel Gigot, who is currently plying his trade at Spartak Moscow.

Gigot is under contract for another 12 months with the Russian side, who are seeing €5m in order to sell the player.

Torino have been linked with the player all summer, but they are yet to make any concrete step to secure him.
