Ligue 1: Moses Simon tops assist chart despite Monaco's loss
One of the very positives for FC Nantes over the course of this season has been Moses Simon performances despite the team's inconsistency, the Super Eagles winger had another applaudable outing in the loss today as AS Monaco made light work of the visitors with a 7-1 score-line at the Louis-II Stadium, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
His assist today has now made him top the Ligue 1 assist chart, tied with PSG's Joao Neves.
The Yellow-and-Greens were reduced to 10 men after the red card to Nicolas Cozza in the opening minutes of the game which undoubtedy gave Monaco the edge as they played with 10 men throughout 90 minutes.
Simon who was visited by newly appointed Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle is seen as a pivotal part of the National setup and as such, his input for the club indicates a good run ahead of the crucial World Cup qualifying game against Rwanda next month.
