According to a new report by Spanish outlet As, Granada are close to acquiring Portuguese goalkeeper Luis Maximiano.

Maximiano, who currently plays for Sporting Clube, is set to join the La Liga club for a 4,5M Euros transfer fee, plus an addittional 500,000 Euros in bonuses. Furthermore, Sporting will receive 10% on a future sale by Granada. The goalkeeper will then sign a 4-year deal with the Spanish side. According to the report, Maximiano is already in Granada waiting for the clubs to agree on the last few details, after which he will undergo routine medical checks before finally signing with his new club.   

The 22-year old is considered by many to be the future goalkeeper of the Portuguese national team, and rumors had linked him to Barcelona in the past; finally it is Granada who were able to close the deal it appears. He will look to replace former Granada goalkeeper Rui Silva, who departed for Betis Sevilla in this transfer window.
