On Saturday, Radamel Falcao scored 10 minutes into his Rayo Vallecano debut, sealing a 3-0 league win against Getafe in a rivalry between the two smaller teams in Madrid.

With Rayo leading 1-0, the veteran striker came on as a 71st-minute replacement. Pathe Ciss, a midfielder, increased the advantage before setting up Falcao with a ball that allowed the Colombian to score from an angle.

Falcao, 35, joined with Rayo as a free agent earlier this month.

"I had dreamed of being able to go out there and score a goal," Falcao said. "My teammates have given me a lot of support. I feel right at home."

From 2011 to 2013, Falcao enjoyed two extremely successful seasons at Atletico Madrid, helping the club win the Europa League and the Copa del Rey. He went on to play for Monaco, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Galatasaray before retiring at the end of the season.
