According to Daily Mail, Lionel Messi has agreed to a new contract with Barcelona.The Argentinian 33-year-old GOAT will spend two more years at Nou Camp, and then join David Beckham's Inter Miami in MLS for two seasons. It seems he has also accepted to take the role of a 'global ambassador' for Barça after retirement. Daily Mail also reports that Messi has admitted to a significant salary decrease in the new contract. If this plan will really happen it will be a tremendous boost in popularity for MLS and maybe what the whole US movement needs to become elite. Who knows if the next time Messi and Ronaldo will play in the same league will be in the USA?
