Celtic boss Neil Lennon believes Christopher Jullien will prove to be a great acquisition after he impressed in the Champions League win against Nomme Kalju.

Jullien, a £7million signing from Toulouse, produced an assured display on Tuesday as Celtic beat the Estonian champions 2-0 to seal a 7-0 aggregate success in their second qualifying round clash.

A first-half own goal and a great effort by Marian Shved set up a meeting with Romanian side Cluj in the third round of qualifying.

Hoops boss Lennon said: "I’m very happy with the scoreline and with the performance. I'm happy to get important minutes into some of the players who haven't had that luxury and to come through injury free.

"I was very pleased with Christopher, it was important he got 90 minutes.

"I thought we had a tough first-round tie against Sarajevo, we negotiated that well and negotiated this one brilliantly, so we are in a good place. The quality does get stronger as you go along, but we'll cross that bridge and be well prepared.

"Winning keeps the momentum going into Saturday and, judging by the dressing room, we've come through unscathed."

Celtic can be backed at 1/6 to beat St Johnstone on Saturday while they are available at 9/1 not to win a major trophy in 2019/20.
