League still the focus for Sterling
Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling claims the Premier League title is still the main focus for his side as they prepare for the start of the campaign.
The Citizens managed to overcome a strong challenge to beat Liverpool by a single point to win the title last term, while the Reds then went on to win the Champions League.
City are yet to enjoy success in the Champions League and, while Sterling has admitted it is an attractive prize to win, he knows the focus must be on retaining their Premier League crown this term.
"The Champions League is massive for us as a club but our most important thing is winning the Premier League," he said. "That's our main objective going into this season.
"Yes, it would be nice to win the Champions League but first and foremost we want to win the league.
"The Premier League is your bread and butter, every weekend, what you train for every day. The Champions League is the nicer looking one, the most prestigious as people say, but every weekend you put in a shift, you're going to tough places."
City are 1/2 to win the Premier League, while Liverpool are 13/5 to take the title this season.
