Western Sydney Wanderers' Tarek Elrich came up with an injury-time equaliser to hold A-League leaders Perth Glory to a 1-1 draw at Spotless Stadium.

In their final game at their temporary home, Wanderers earned a share of the spoils when Elrich's shot from outside the area curled past keeper Liam Reddy.

It would have been Reddy's ninth clean sheet of the campaign but, five minutes into added time, he wasn't able to get to the low drive after Manyiel Majok had pulled the ball back to the top of the box.

Perth, who have an eight-point advantage over defending champions Melbourne Victory at the top of the table, were denied a 15th victory of the campaign.

But they remain unbeaten away from home this season, having been given the lead midway through the first half by former Western Sydney player Chris Ikonomidis.

The Australia international stung the palms of keeper Vedran Janjetovic early in the game with an angled strike and he went close again soon after when he headed Andy Keogh's cross just over the bar.

He was not to be denied on 24 minutes, though, when he finished off a move involving Ivan Franjic and Diego Castro by slipping a first-time shot under the keeper to claim his eighth goal of the season.

Ikonomidis had another chance on the stroke of half-time, but failed to get enough power on his header after Keogh had shown great persistence to get to the byline and cross.

Western Sydney's first clear chance of the game saw Oriol Riera's header well blocked to his right by Reddy.

The home side threatened early in the second half when Bruce Kamau dispossessed Matthew Spiranovic but saw the former Socceroos defender make a last-ditch block to thwart him.

Wanderers went on to deny Glory a fifth successive victory and have now picked up seven points from their last three matches.

Western Sydney are 11/8 to win their next game against Brisbane Roar, who are 13/8, with the draw 14/5.
