Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has admitted he still has some selection headaches ahead of their Premier League opener against Manchester United.

The Blues travel to Old Trafford to take on United on 11th August for what will be Lampard's first league game as Chelsea manager.

Having seen his side secure a 4-3 win over Reading in pre-season, Lampard has revealed he is still to finalise the team he wants to take the field against the Red Devils.

"I wouldn't say I've made decisions yet in terms of selection for those early games or what the squad looks like because that's a line and I don't want to draw that line just yet," Lampard said.

The new Blues boss also stated he has been pleased with how the player have worked in pre-season and feels the side is in a good place heading into the season proper.

"There's not a player who hasn't pushed themselves and shown me everything but these are decisions I have to make," he added. "They're not absolutely clear decisions but I'll make them in due course."

Chelsea are 9/4 to win, 5/2 to draw and 11/10 to lose against Old Gunnar Solskjaer's Manchester United side.
