Lampard still cautious with Kante
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard remains cautious about the prospects of midfielder N'Golo Kante being ready for the Blues' Premier League opener at Manchester United.
The 28-year-old France international made his first appearance of the pre-season during the 2-2 draw with Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday, having been troubled by a knee problem for some time.
Who knows if he'll be ready for next week or not, but we'll work hard for that.

However, despite Kante being back in the fold this weekend, Lampard is still far from certain about whether his player will be in good enough shape for the trip to Old Trafford on Sunday 11th August.
Lampard told his club's official website. "He's working a little bit now and it was just to give him the feeling of match time, as he hadn't been able to do that yet.
"I just wanted him to feel it and us to see it, as you cannot replicate it unless you do it. It was a good opportunity to do that for him and we'll work hard on getting him fit.
"Who knows if he'll be ready for next week or not, but we'll work hard for that.
"We also have to be a bit careful, as he's played so many games over the past three seasons and we don't want to rush him back if it's going to be a negative."
Kante has been with Chelsea for three seasons and has missed just nine league games in that time, scoring six goals in 105 Premier League appearances for the Londoners.
Chelsea are available at 5/2 to win in Manchester next Sunday, with the draw priced at 23/10, while the Blues are 11/10 to secure a top-four finish in the Premier League this season.
