Lampard recalls Chelsea’s ‘bought title’ era under Abramovich

Former Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has reflected on the successful period when Roman Abramovich was the club’s owner, including the criticism that followed his arrival that Chelsea had effectively bought the championship.

During that era, Lampard won the English Premier League three times with the “Pensioners”. He also lifted the domestic cup on four occasions and helped Chelsea win the UEFA Champions League.
