Lamine Yamal insists early success will not lessen his motivation

Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal says his achievements at a young age will not reduce his desire to win more trophies.

“There are legends such as Diego Maradona, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, but no one has won as much as I have at my age,” Yamal said.

By the age of 19, the Spain international has become a world and European champion. At club level, he has also won every major trophy available in Spain with Barcelona.

Yamal added to his growing list of achievements on Sunday by scoring twice in Barcelona’s 4-2 La Liga victory over Levante.

The teenager’s two goals helped Barcelona secure the win, but he said his early success would not affect his motivation to continue improving and competing for further honours.
