Samuel Chukwueze set Villarreal on a victory mission when he scored one of the goals that gave his team a 2-1 win over Valencia, reports Nigeriasoccernet.com.

The goal happened to be his first in the league for the Yellow Submarines this season. However, Valencia will make the host to work for their win as former Manchester United striker Edison Cavani drew the first blood.

The Super Eagles winger in the added time of the first half scored the equalizer before defender, Juan Foyth netted the winning goal for Villarreal in the 88th minute.

Chukwueze had previously scored five goals for the Yellow Submarine in the UEFA Europa Conference League this term.

The win means Villarreal are now on 24 points after fifteen game, three off the last Champions League spot.
