Kylian Mbappe expected to start for Real Madrid against Villarreal
Kylian Mbappe is expected to be available for Real Madrid’s Spanish championship match against Villarreal on 10 October.
The forward returned to the Spanish capital on the morning of 5 October, according to AS, but arrived after Real Madrid’s team training session had begun at Valdebebas. He did not take part in that session and was expected to report to the training ground later in the day to continue his recovery work individually.
Mbappe suffered the injury during France’s first match of the international break. He felt significant pain in his left knee after taking a knock and asked to be substituted.
The problem is not considered serious and is not expected to prevent Mbappe from playing against Villarreal. He is expected to be fit enough to start the match for Real Madrid.
