Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has described the return of Ghana international midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah as a late-season gift as the midfielder looks set to make Serie A return.

The Old Ladies have missed the 26-year-old Ghanaian since early December and they have not had him for their Serie A, Coppa Italia and Uefa Champions League campaign.

However, the former Liberty Professionals midfielder returned to full scale training last week and is set to gatecrash the Juventus squad for their weekend Serie A game.

And, that excites manager Allegri: "We hope that Asamoah joins quick like a nice late-season gift."

Juventus are in contention for treble as they battle for a berth in the Uefa Champions League semi-final while they also keep tabs on the Coppa Italia title.

They also look set to win the Scudetto as they have opened a lead at the top of the table.
