David Duncan will receive the backing of Kotoko supporters if he gets the nod to coach the Ghanaian champions, Chairman of the Greater Accra National Circles Council of the club Emmanuel Boamah has revealed.

Duncan, a former coach of Hearts of Oak is line to take over from Mas-Ud Dramani who has come under intense pressure to quit.

Dramani has lost support from the boardroom with growing disquiet among the playing body contributing to his downfall at the club.

The former Ghana Under-17 female team coach has vowed to stay on despite the mounting pressure but it appears his departure is imminent.

“David Duncan will get the supports of the Kotoko fans if he is appointed as new coach,” he told Asempa FM

“Duncan or any other person appointed to replace Didi will be welcomed.

“The supporters want a change because things are not working properly and there is no turning back in ensuring Dramani is replaced.

Duncan’s potential move to Kotoko is imminent with top officials expected to hold further discussions by the close of the week.
