Kotoko coach David Duncan has admitted his side’s Premier League title defence is ‘out of his hands’.

The Porcupine Warriors ended the first half of the season on 5th position after thrashing Heart of Lions 4-0.

Kotoko started the season on a fine note but a disappointing exit from the CAF Confederation Cup sparked a wave of unflattering performances in the Ghanaian top-tier.

Kotoko are still in with a chance to retain their crown as they trail leaders Ashantigold by only seven points with 15 games left to play.

But coach Duncan says their title defense is completely out of his hands.

“It’s [retaining the title] out of our hands,” he said.

“We can only focus on our games and get the wins but then if the others also remain consistent with their wins it means positions won’t change.

“So all we have to do is focus on ourselves.”

The record Ghanaian title-holders travel to Kpando to face Heart of Lions on match day-16 on June 7.
