Kotoko financier Dr.Frimpong to pay David Duncan's compensation fee if he rejects Moller as technical director- reports
Asante Kotoko financier Dr. Kwaku Frimpong has pledged to foot the bill to payoff coach David Duncan if he refuses to work with Tommy Moller Nielsen as the club’s new technical director.
The Danish trainer is in Ghana to hold talks towards taking up the appointment with the dethroned Ghanaian champions on the invitation of Dr. Frimpong.
GHANAsoccernet.com is however reliably informed that Tommy Moller Nielsen is being prepared to take over from David Duncan once he refuses to the idea of appointing a technical director.
Duncan was only appointed substantive coach of Asante Kotoko six months ago on a two-year deal.
His prospective premature departure could come at a huge cost to the club but Dr. Frimpong who owns one of the biggest clinics in the country – Champion Divine Clinic – has told the management he is prepared to take up this cost.
Dr. Frimpong is a highly influential figure within Kotoko despite not being officially part of the club’s management team.
He is even rumoured to being mooted to head the club’s next management team when Opoku Nti exits.
