The Club via its social media platforms informed the public that it has reached a "mid-season managerial contract" with the tactician.

Reports say the dotted lines with the former Sunshine gaffer were signed at the Club's office in Uyo on Monday January 6, 2025 and the coach is expected to begin work later this week.

Chairman of the club Elder Paul Bassey expressed optimism with the appointment of Boboye stating that his appointment was due to his track record.

Coach Boboye who coached the Promise Keepers from 2019-2020 winning the league title in the 2020-2021 season.

He won his second league title as a coach with Plateau United in 2017 and has had a brief stint with Heartland FC and Sunshine Stars.
