Veteran Spanish goalkeeper Roberto is excited about his opportunity to play in the Premier League, having agreed a two-year contract with West Ham.
The 33-year-old, who has played for the liked of Atletico Madrid, Benfica and Olympiacos, is a free agent after leaving Espanyol and will take the place of compatriot Adrian at the London Stadium.
Former Spain Under-21 international Roberto was part of the Atleti squad who won the Europa League in 2010, while he has also won three domestic league titles in Greece.
He told the Hammers' official website: "From the beginning when I knew I was going to come here, I was very excited about the new experience.
"I am looking forward to playing in the Premier League. It's a big challenge as I consider this to be one of the two best and biggest leagues in the world, with our league in Spain.
"I think it's a dream for every player to come here and play in the Premier League, so I'm looking forward to getting started."
West Ham finished in tenth place in the Premier League this season, finishing the campaign with three consecutive victories to ensure a spot in the top half of the final standings.
The Irons are available at 5/4 to end up in the top half of the table again next season, with the Londoners 16/1 to finish in the top six.
