Everton central defender Michael Keane wants to see his side build on the fine run of form they enjoyed in the final weeks of last season.

The Toffees lost only once in their final eight games of the Premier League campaign, keeping six clean sheets in the process as they finished in eighth place in the table.

And Keane is hopeful that that run of form can set a platform for even better next season, with he and his team-mates now fully aware of how head coach Marco Silva wants his side to play.

England international Keane told his club's official website: "I think you can see a lot of things coming together. It takes time when you have a new manager.

"In the final matches of the season, it has happened for us. We know how we want to play, we understand our gameplan more.

"We went on a great run and I think playing like that will only give us confidence. We need to keep it like that next season and stay consistent.

"We've set our levels of performance, it's been good, but we need to carry this form into next season."

Everton are available at 6/1 to finish inside the top six next season, while they are priced at 20/1 to secure a top-four spot, which they last managed back in 2005.
