Nigeria ex-international, Nwankwo Kanu has called at the residence of bereaved former international, Tijani Babangida in Kano, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Enyimba International Chairman visited Babangida  who survived horror car crash in which his U17 World Cup-winning brother Ibrahim and son tragically died.

Babangida and his wife, Maryam who at a point was in ICU at ABUTH Zaria after facial surgery have returned home to recuperate.

Kanu posted on his X page video and a picture of his meeting with Tijani at his home with the words:

"KAN U BELIEVE IT ? A visit to my brother and friend TIJANI Babangida Legend I pray ? that all will be well only seeing again and talking with you I thank God…For the lost of your younger brother and son please accept my deepest condolences. It's difficult but God is your strength"

Reports say Kanu supported Babangida with the sum of N1 million in cash on behalf of the club.

The two were former teammates in the Nigeria National team and were also teammates at Ajax.
