The Nigeria Professional Football League enters its second day, with the league’s new boys and a few of the old guard looking to maintain their tempo or record wining starts before it gets crunchy.

In one of the thrilling games of today, Kano Pillars, who humbled Enugu Rangers 2-1 in Kano over the weekend, will travel to Warri Wolves, who will be seeking a win, after making do with a goal-less draw with Heartland in Owerri.

Umnuahia will host the battle of the Warriors, as El Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri come calling on Abia Warriors of Umuahia. Both clubs, failing to muster any wins over the weekend – the hosts were held by new boys Ikorodu United, while the visitors were left red-faced by a 2-0 loss to Wikki Tourists in front of their fans – will be hunting for all three points.

After drubbing El Kanemi over the weekend, Wikki Tourists will be looking to continue against a Heartland side who failed to find the net against Wolves last weekend.

Giant-killers, MFM FC, will go into their game against an equally confident Rivers United in Port Harcourt this evening, in a game of egos. Both sides recorded wins over the weekend and will not want to be brought down so quickly.
