Kano Pillars defender Jamiu Alimi is looking forward to facing his former club Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan in Sunday's match day 13 fixture in the Nigeria Professional Football League.

The centre-back linked up with the Pyramid City side from 3SC at the end  of last season.

Sunday's meeting at the Sani Abacha Stadium will be first time he will be lining up against the side he helped beat the drop last term.

The former Ukraine-based player said even though he still relishes his time with the Oluyole Warlords, he looks  forward to Pillars securing maximum points in the game.

"I enjoyed my time with 3SC and it will be tough playing against my former colleagues," Alimi told Completesportsnigeria.com.

"But as a professional, I have to do my job which is to help Kano Pillars win the game. That is the only thing on my mind now and I hope we come out victorious at the end of the day."

Pillars are yet to drop point at home this season, while 3SC have lost all their away games.
