Nigeria's Josh Maja returned to scoring ways in FC Girondins de Bordeaux win over Niems Olympique in the French Ligue 2 on Sunday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Maja notched his 12th goal of the season from 28 appearances for Bordeaux in an hard fought win.

The tie which was deadlocked for over 80 minutes was settled nine minutes from time to hand the crucial points to the Host.

Maja controlled Alexi Pitu's pass in motion, struck it afterwards, but the ball was blocked which came back to the Nigerian to slot home.

The win returns Bordeaux to second spot with 50 points from 28 games.
