Italy: Osimhen makes Serie A Team of the Season
Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen has been named in the Serie A Team of the Season, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Osimhen was Napoli shining light of the just concluded season following the club’s fall from the top to a club without European football.
The 25 year-old earned for the second consecutive year is appearing on the much celebrated list just as he played a crucial role in helping Napoli secure their first Scudetto in over 30 years last season.
Despite Osimhen’s injury, controversy in relation to transfer and the aftermath of his penalty miss against Bologna, the Nigerian start registered 15 goals and three assists in 24 league appearances.
Only Inter Milan's Lautaro Martinez and Juventus' Dusan Vlahovic have outscored him this campaign.
Napoli have endured a poor 2023-24 season, finishing 10th on the table which made them miss out on European competition.
