Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini is eager to retain winger Ademola Lookman amidst potential January interest, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Lookman was previously courted by Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, prompting him to briefly skip training.

Gasperini acknowledged the challenge of keeping Lookman, saying: "Lookman tempted in the summer by PSG? No, it was not a good moment. And who knows, maybe certain hypotheses will recur, hopefully not in January."

He emphasized the importance of Lookman's current focus on the team, adding: "But in the meantime, now, it is only important that he is 'inside' the team."

The 27-year-old Nigerian international has been an integral member of the team since he joined in 202 winning back-to-back Atalanta Player of the season.
