Ghanaian defender Isaac Vorsah has been released by Austria giants Red Bulls Salzburg after battling knee injuries for the past two years.

The Austrian champions confirmed the departure of Ghana international defender from the club at the end of the season.

Red Bulls have decided to release the 26-year-old who has battled with injuries for the past two seasons and has not kicked a ball.

The club who have won back-to-back Austria Bundesliga titles were hoping to see the defender who played for Ghana at the 2010 FIFA World Cup fit again.

However, Vorsah has not recovered within the stipulated period and they have asked him to leave with no clubs mentioned to be interested in him.

Vorsah joined Red Bulls from German Bundesliga side TSG Hoffenheim in 2012 and featured in just 15 league games, scoring just once.
