Despite the heavy loss in the first leg of the international friendly to the USA women's team, Falcons' Coach Randy Waldrum was pleased with the performance of the lads in his team.

While speaking with the Super Falcons media, the former Trinidad and Tobago coach spoken highly of the under twenty girls.

"One of the things I was pleased with was the performance of some of our young players. We brought some of the youth twenties in and were able to get their first cap. I thought they all did extremely well for us considering it was their first senior team call up and playing the nest in the world.

We hope we can improve on the performance a little bit on Tuesday. But the main thing is it has given us the chance to see some young stars that we normally wouldn't get to see." He said.

Waldrum invited four players from the under twenty team to the senior national team following injuries to some of the senior players.

One of the lights at the just concluded U-20 women's world cup, Esther Onyedinize, Deborah Abiodun, Rofiat Imuran and Oluwatosin Demehin got called up.

Besides, Waldrum spoke about the performance of Rofiat Imuran in the game against USWNT.

"I think she has always been a good plauer, up and xoming young star just like all of those we have called in, not her alone- Tosin, and even Deborah and Esther. I think they are a really good players.'

The Falcons have a second date with the American counterpart on Tuesday in Washington DC.
