Ghana international Kwadwo Asamoah, is set to return to the pitch later this month after making progress in his recovery.

The 25-year-old has been on the sidelines over the past two months due to a left knee injury he picked up playing for his club side Juventus in the UEFA champions league.

He underwent arthroscopic surgery in Spain which was carried out by Dr Ramon Cugat and it was aimed at repairing a cartilage in his left knee after reporting continued pain in the region.

The former Udenise man needed two to three months to recover and is now more than half way through his recovery.

The injury robbed Ghana off the opportunity of using him in the ongoing Africa cup of nations in Equatorial Guinea.

He is however expected to return to light training with his colleagues this month.
