Wayne Rooney reveals Carlos Tevez was ‘a disgrace’ in Manchester United training

Wayne Rooney has described former Manchester United team-mate Carlos Tevez as “a real disgrace” during training, while praising the Argentine striker’s commitment when it came to matches.

According to OneFootball, Rooney said Tevez gave his maximum effort on the football pitch despite his poor standards in training with the team.

Rooney and Tevez played together at Manchester United between 2007 and 2009. The pair formed part of the club’s attack during the Argentine’s two-year spell at Old Trafford.

Tevez also represented Manchester City, Juventus, Boca Juniors and other clubs during his career. At international level, he made 76 appearances for Argentina and scored 13 goals.
