Vitinha backs a Paris Saint-Germain player for Ballon d’Or glory

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Vitinha has given his view ahead of this year’s Ballon d’Or ceremony, saying the prestigious award should be won by one of his club team-mates.

Ten footballers from the French side have been nominated for the prize: Ferran Torres, Fabian Ruiz, Ousmane Dembele, Vitinha, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Achraf Hakimi, Marquinhos, Willian Pacho, Nuno Mendes and Joao Neves.

The Ballon d’Or ceremony will take place in London on 26 October.
