Victor Orakpo transfer: Nigerian forward linked with Genclerbirligi switch from Nice
Nigeria forward Victor Orakpo has been linked with a move from Nice to Turkish Super Lig club Genclerbirligi.
The 20-year-old centre-forward is currently part of the Nice squad but has yet to feature in Ligue 1 this season, despite being available for two matches. He has not started a game or recorded an appearance, goal or assist in the campaign so far.
Orakpo returned to Nice at the end of June after spending the second half of last season on loan at AS Nancy. Before that, he had been with Montpellier on loan, having joined the club from Nice in July 2025.
His return to the French club followed a spell with Nice's reserve side, which he joined from Global Academy in January 2024. Orakpo became part of Nice's senior setup in July 2024 and remains under contract until 30 June 2028.
The striker's current market value is listed at €400,000. A move to Genclerbirligi would take him from Ligue 1 to Turkey's top flight, although the rumour does not include a reported fee or indicate that an agreement has been reached.
Orakpo, who was born in Lokoja, Nigeria, is 1.94m tall and favours his right foot. For now, he remains a Nice player with four years left on his contract.
