Trabzonspor Eye Move for Super Eagles Striker Tolu Arokodare
Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor have identified Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare as a potential attacking addition ahead of the 2026/27 season, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Black Sea Storm are searching for a new centre-forward following the departure of Felipe Augusto to Russian Premier League club Zenit St. Petersburg, with Arokodare emerging as one of their priority targets.
According to Turkish outlet TRT Spor, Trabzonspor have added the Super Eagles forward to their shortlist and are exploring the possibility of signing the 26-year-old on a season-long loan deal.
Arokodare is expected to leave Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer after the club's relegation from the Premier League, with the Nigerian keen to continue competing at the highest possible level.
A move to Turkey could offer the striker the opportunity to secure regular first-team football while remaining in a competitive European league.
The powerful forward only joined Wolves from Belgian Pro League side KRC Genk last summer but endured a challenging first campaign in England.
Despite making 42 appearances across all competitions for the Old Gold, Arokodare registered seven goals and two assists during the season.
Trabzonspor are looking to strengthen multiple areas of their squad ahead of the new campaign and believe the Nigerian's physical presence, aerial dominance and top-flight experience would provide an added dimension to their attack.
Should the move materialise, Arokodare would become the latest Nigerian footballer to feature in the Turkish Süper Lig.
