Tottenham have no plans to dismiss manager Roberto De Zerbi despite the club’s difficult start to the season, according to TEAMtalk.

De Zerbi has taken three points from his first six matches, but Tottenham’s leadership still believes the Italian is the right coach to deliver its long-term project. The club expects results to improve and intends to give him time to build on the work already under way.

The 46-year-old is also committed to continuing in the role. TEAMtalk reports that Tottenham have no concerns about De Zerbi choosing to leave the club himself.

Tottenham invested significant sums in strengthening their squad during the summer, and that spending is another reason the club is prepared to remain patient with the manager.

De Zerbi’s position is also being assessed in the context of his work at the end of last season. He took charge in late March while Tottenham were battling to retain their place in the Premier League and helped the team remain in the top division.
