Thomas Tuchel considers Cole Palmer return for England’s Nations League fixtures

Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer could return to the England squad after the national team requested an update on his fitness.

According to journalist Matt Law, England representatives have contacted Chelsea’s medical staff for information on Palmer’s physical condition as manager Thomas Tuchel seriously considers selecting him for the side’s next Nations League matches.

Palmer, described as a key player for the Blues, was left out of England’s World Cup squad and also missed the team’s first autumn training camp.

England will host Croatia on 12 November before travelling to face Spain three days later.

Palmer’s most recent appearance for England came in March.
