Super Eagles winger Yira Collins Sor is edging closer to a move to Turkish Super Lig newcomers Amedspor as negotiations continue with Belgian Pro League side KRC Genk, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

According to TransferFeed, discussions between both clubs are progressing positively, although a final agreement on the transfer has yet to be reached.

Sor, whose current contract with Genk expires next year, is widely expected to leave the Belgian club this summer after indications that he will not be offered a new deal.

Should the transfer be completed, the 26-year-old Nigerian will reunite with fellow countryman Gift Orban, who recently joined Amedspor on a season-long loan from Bundesliga side TSG Hoffenheim.

The former Flying Eagles winger joined Genk from Czech club Slavia Prague in January 2023 in a deal reportedly worth €6.5 million.

Despite arriving with high expectations, Sor has struggled to establish himself as a regular at the Belgian club, with recurring injuries limiting his appearances and preventing him from consistently showcasing his quality.

A move to Amedspor could offer the Nigerian international the fresh start and regular playing time he needs as he looks to revive his career ahead of the new season.
