Steven Gerrard and Roy Keane agree over Brentford v Liverpool prediction

Liverpool great Steven Gerrard and former Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane have reached the same prediction ahead of Liverpool’s Premier League meeting with Brentford on 17 October.

The seventh-round fixture was discussed on the latest episode of the Stick to Football podcast, where Gerrard explained that Liverpool’s selection problems had influenced his view of the match.

Keane agreed with his fellow former Premier League midfielder.

Liverpool go into the game after suffering a 3-0 defeat by Manchester City in the league. They responded in midweek, beating LASK 6-3 in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Brentford are fourth in the Premier League table and are among the teams yet to lose in the competition this season. Liverpool are ninth.
