Oyo Pillar of Sports Tope Obideyi has called on supporters of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) to remain patient and continue backing the Oluyole Warriors after a disappointing sequence of results.

Obideyi acknowledged the frustration surrounding the team’s form, saying the club’s history and close relationship with the people of Oyo State meant every defeat was felt deeply.

“For a club with such a rich history and an emotional connection with the people of Oyo State, every defeat comes with pain,” he said.

“The current run of poor results is certainly not what the players, management, or supporters expected, and the disappointment of the fans is completely understandable. However, this is the moment when true supporters are needed the most.”

The former player admitted that 3SC’s performances had fallen below expectations. He said the club needed to identify its problems collectively, correct its mistakes and rebuild confidence, but insisted the supporters must not abandon the team.

“Football is a game of uncertainties. A team can struggle for a period, lose confidence, and find itself on the wrong side of results,” Obideyi said.

“Yet, football has also shown repeatedly that fortunes can change very quickly when determination, unity, and hard work come together.”

Obideyi made a direct appeal for supporters to remain committed to the club despite the difficult spell.

“Please don’t give up on the Oluyole Warriors. Don’t abandon the team because of a difficult spell. Don’t allow temporary disappointment to erase the glorious history and memories that 3SC has given its supporters over the years,” he said.

He also stressed the importance of unity between the supporters, technical crew, management and players as the club attempts to recover.

“The players need encouragement. The technical crew needs constructive support. The management needs the cooperation of the supporters. And above all, the club needs everyone to remain united at this difficult period,” Obideyi said.

He reminded the squad of the responsibility attached to representing 3SC, Ibadan and Oyo State.

“Wearing the 3SC shirt is a responsibility. Every time you step onto the pitch, remember the thousands of supporters who identify with the club, the history behind the badge, and the pride of representing Ibadan and Oyo State,” he said.

“Fight for every ball. Fight for every point. Fight for the badge.”

Obideyi said the team’s poor run should not be viewed as the defining point of its season. He encouraged supporters to continue demanding commitment while maintaining their backing for the Oluyole Warriors.

“Better results will come. The Oluyole Warriors have stumbled, but they have not fallen,” he concluded.

“Let us remain calm. Let us remain united. Let us keep believing. The Oluyole Warriors will bounce back. Up Shooting Stars!”
