Senegal and Guinea headline UFOA A U17 semi-final double-header

The UFOA A U17 tournament reaches its decisive stage on Thursday, with Senegal facing Guinea and Liberia meeting The Gambia in the semi-finals at Stade Lat-Dior in Thies.

The four remaining teams are competing not only for places in the final, but also for a place in the next Africa Cup of Nations at under-17 level.

Hosts and defending champions Senegal will play Guinea in the first semi-final, with kick-off scheduled for 16:00 GMT.

Senegal will be aiming to continue their defence of the title on home soil, while Guinea will be seeking victory in a closely watched West African contest.

The second finalist will be decided later in the day when Liberia take on The Gambia at 19:00 GMT.

Both matches will be played at Stade Lat-Dior, with the winners advancing to the tournament final and keeping their hopes of qualification for the next Africa Cup of Nations U17 alive.
