Samuel Chukwueze begins rehabilitation after successful London surgery

Nigeria's Super Eagles and AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze has undergone successful surgery in London to repair a ruptured tendon in his left hip.

The 26-year-old Nigerian international had an operation on the tendon of the tensor fasciae latae muscle, with the procedure completed successfully.

Chukwueze is expected to return to Milan, where he will begin a rehabilitation programme under the supervision of AC Milan's medical team. His recovery will focus on restoring his fitness after the injury.

AC Milan has not yet confirmed how long the rehabilitation process is expected to last, or provided a possible date for Chukwueze's return to competitive action.

The injury is a setback for the winger as he continues his efforts to establish himself in the AC Milan squad.
