Rooney calls Manchester United pair ‘selfish’ over recent comments

Wayne Rooney has criticised Manchester United players Bruno Fernandes and Lisandro Martinez for their recent public statements, describing the pair as “selfish”.

Fernandes openly voiced his dissatisfaction with Michael Carrick’s tactical plan after Manchester United’s 4-1 defeat by Como in the Champions League.

Martinez had earlier criticised the club’s management following the 2-0 loss to Atletico. The Argentina defender later apologised for his comments.

Manchester United are due to face Bournemouth in the Premier League on Sunday.
