Erling Haaland remains a transfer target for both Real Madrid and Barcelona, with the Spanish giants reportedly planning moves for the Manchester City striker in 2027.

According to TEAMtalk, the two clubs believe Haaland’s contract includes a release clause that could make a future transfer possible. Manchester City, however, have denied that such a clause exists in the Norway international’s current deal.

There is also an agreement between Haaland and Manchester City that would allow the forward to leave if he decides he wants to take on a new challenge, the report says.

Haaland has shown no indication that he wants to leave the club at present. Despite continuing speculation about his future, the 26-year-old remains committed to Manchester City.

The striker has made six appearances in all competitions this season and has scored six goals.

Real Madrid and Barcelona are both understood to view Haaland as a long-term target, but any potential move is currently linked to 2027.
