PSG and Manchester United monitoring Barcelona defender Eric Garcia

Barcelona defender Eric Garcia is attracting interest from several leading European clubs, according to journalist Ekrem Konur.

Paris St-Germain and Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing the 25-year-old Spain international. Newcastle United and Aston Villa are also said to be keen on bringing Garcia to their squads.

The clubs are understood to be prepared to pay more than 70m euros for the defender, although there has been no indication of a formal offer. Such reported interest could raise doubts over Garcia’s long-term future at Barcelona.

Garcia has made eight appearances for Barcelona in all competitions this season but has not recorded a goal or an assist.

The defender’s current contract with the Catalan club runs until June 2031.
