Pascal Gross joins Lamine Yamal as only players to create 40 chances this season

Brighton midfielder Pascal Gross created nine chances in the 4-0 Conference League win over Kauno Zalgiris, despite not scoring or providing an assist.

The 35-year-old’s tally is the highest recorded by any Premier League player in 2026. According to Opta, Gross is only the second player from Europe’s five major leagues to create 40 chances in the current season.

Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal is the only other player to have reached that figure.

Brighton will return to Premier League action on Sunday when they host Crystal Palace. The Seagulls currently sit third in the table.
