The Nigeria National League (NNL) has announced that its 2026/27 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place in Owerri, Imo State, on Friday, August 21, 2026, NigeriaSoccernet.com reports.

The 17th edition of the league's AGM will be hosted by the Imo State Government after Governor Hope Uzodimma approved the state's bid to stage the annual gathering.

All 36 NNL clubs are expected to converge on Owerri between August 20 and 22 for the meeting, which will bring together key stakeholders ahead of the commencement of the new season.

Senior officials of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), led by President Ibrahim Musa Gusau, are also expected to attend the event.

The meeting will address several key issues ahead of the 2026/27 campaign, including the league's strategic roadmap, club licensing requirements, and proposed amendments to the Nigeria National League's rules and regulations.

The annual gathering is expected to provide a platform for discussions aimed at strengthening the league's structure and ensuring a smooth and successful season.
