Olympique Marseille are prepared to part ways with Nigerian midfielder Tochukwu Nnadi when the transfer window reopens in January.

The 23-year-old joined the Ligue 1 club from Belgian Pro League side Zulte Waregem in January 2025. He made eight appearances for Marseille during the second half of last season.

However, Nnadi has found regular first-team football harder to secure during the current campaign and is not viewed as an essential part of the club’s plans.

According to Get French Football News, Marseille would consider either selling the defensive midfielder or sending him out on loan in January.

A temporary move could allow Nnadi to play more consistently while he seeks to strengthen his position on the international scene.

Marseille are also under scrutiny from French football’s financial watchdog, the DNCG, after failing to satisfy its financial requirements in June.

The club’s willingness to consider Nnadi’s departure comes as it faces that financial oversight, with either a permanent transfer or a loan move possible when the window opens.
