Manchester City make it six wins from six with emphatic victory at Liverpool

Manchester City have opened the season with six successive wins after a 3-0 victory over Liverpool at Anfield.

The result in the sixth round of the English Premier League marked another impressive start for the club, who followed up their previous five victories by completing a perfect opening run.

It is the second time in four seasons that Manchester City have won their first six league matches. They previously achieved the same feat in 2023 under manager Pep Guardiola.

That sequence came to an end in the seventh round, when Wolverhampton Wanderers defeated Manchester City 2-1.
