Lommel SK add 19-year-old Nigeria wide player Elijah Odede from Troyes
Nigeria winger Elijah Odede has joined Lommel SK from French club Troyes on loan, completing a move to the Belgian side on 3 September 2026.
The 19-year-old will remain with Lommel until 30 June 2027, when the loan is scheduled to end and he is due to return to Troyes. Odede becomes part of the club’s squad in the Jupiler Pro League, having moved from a side competing in Ligue 1.
Odede plays primarily on the left wing and is naturally right-footed. Born in Ogbomosho, Nigeria, he stands 1.75m tall and joined Troyes from FC Sheriff in September 2025 in a permanent transfer worth €3m.
He had not made an appearance for Troyes in the opening two possible Ligue 1 matches of the 2026-27 season before switching clubs. The move gives Odede a new setting after his year with the French club and places him in Belgian football for the current campaign.
Before joining Troyes, Odede represented FC Sheriff, where he won the Moldavian Cup during the 2024-25 season. He had arrived at the Moldovan club from Ikon Allah FA in February 2025, although the terms of that move were not specified.
Odede’s market value is listed at €600,000, while his highest recorded valuation is €700,000. His new club has secured his services for the season through a loan agreement, with no permanent transfer fee attached to the move.
The switch also marks a change in league and country for the teenager, who moves from France to Belgium while remaining contracted to Troyes beyond the current loan period. His next permanent club status is already defined by the agreement: he is scheduled to return to Troyes at the end of June 2027.
Odede has therefore left Troyes for Lommel SK on loan, with the Belgian club confirming his arrival on 3 September 2026.
